I was infected with the mountaineering virus at a fairly young age. At the age of twelve, I already stood at the top of my first four-thousander, the Finsteraarhorn. I stuck to my hobby until today. In 1994, after completing my studies as an electronics engineer, I decided to pursue it professionally as well.
As a certified mountain guide, I now lead guests to the gorgeous mountains of South America, Alaska and the Himalayas. Peaks such as the Denali, the Aconcagua, the Mount Vinson, the Cho Oyu, the Shisha Pangma, the Broad Peak, the Gasherbrum II, the Ama Dablam, the Muztagh Ata, the Dhaulagiri and the Mount Everest have been our destinations in these past years. Nevertheless, even today, the Glarner Alps, right on my doorstep, fascinate me just as much as the highest mountain crests of the world.
On expeditions, I try to pass on to my guests the beauty of the mountains as well as the fascination for different countries and cultures.
