I would choose my profession, mountain guide, again if I could choose it if I was reborn …
Ever since my early childhood I have been fascinated with mountains. At the age of four I made my first experiences on skis and at the age of seven my brother and me could already be found off-piste.
I absolved an apprenticeship as an electrician and then I visited schools to become an electrical engineer. The weekends on the mountains flew past very quickly though and thus I decided to make my hobby my profession.
My favourite thing is journeying to hidden parts of the Alps with my friends or guests. From classic high altitude tours up to the imposing northern face of the Eiger or then even extreme downhill runs such as the Marinelli Couloir (east face of the Monte Rosa) and last but not least, sunny climbing tours on the south of the Alps, where I grew up.
During the journey home from tours I never say no to a serving of french fries and a fresh beer.
