Growing up in the middle of the Ötztal Alps, I discovered my love and fascination for them at a very early age. Even at a young age, I was fascinated by the many different facets that exist in the mountain world. So very early on I ventured out on various climbing and ice-climbing routes, alpine tours and ski tours and was thus able to consolidate and constantly expand my experience in these areas.
After my vocational training as a car mechanic, I was able to successfully complete the training as a state-certified mountain guide at the age of 21 and was part of the training team of the Austrian Mountain Guide Training from 2006 to 2016. Since 2013, in addition to my work as a mountain guide, I have also been a teacher of mathematics at secondary school and try to pass on my knowledge to the younger generation outside of the sporting environment.
The endless passion that I have made for myself as a profession still leads me to the most diverse peaks of this world. I am not only regularly on the move in the local mountain world, but also in other regions and continents of this globe.
In the course of time, as a mountain guide and ambitious mountaineer, I have not only had the privilege of climbing some of the classic north faces of the Alps, but also almost all of the 4000-metre peaks in the Alpine region. In addition, I was able to make various experiences in Canada, Switzerland, France, Nepal, Pakistan, Peru, etc. and gain diverse and countless impressions there.
I am also very fond of the high mountains of this world. I have already had the opportunity to lead several expeditions, such as on Ama Dablam, Alpamayo, Quitaraju, Huascaran, Muztagh Ata and Manaslu.
My love for the mountains is unbroken and still takes me to impressive, indescribably beautiful areas of the world.
