I was raised in the Ötztal Alps which kindled my love and fascination for the mountains. The different facets of the mountain world started to fascinate me at a very young age, which is why I started rock and ice climbing as well as ski mountaineering very early in my life.

After I had completed my apprenticeship as a car mechanic, I started my training to become a certified mountain guide which I completed at the young age of 21. From 2006 and 2016, I was part of the instructor team for the mountain guide training in Austria. In 2013, I took up a position as a mathematics teacher at a secondary school where I work when I am not guiding. Teaching presents me with the opportunity to pass on my knowledge to the younger generation outside the world of sports.

My endless passion for the mountains which I have been lucky enough to make it my profession still takes me to many summits on my doorstep, in other European countries and on other continents.

As mountain guide and ambitious climber, I have had the privilege to climb some of the classic North faces in the Alps and reach the top of almost all 4,000m peaks in the Alps. I have also had the chance to climb and gain some very valuable experiences in Canada, Switzerland, France, Nepal, Pakistan and Peru.

The high mountains in this world are also very dear to me and thanks to my profession, I have been able to guide clients to the summits of Ama Dablam, Alpamayo, Quitaraju, Huascaran, Muztagh Ata and Manaslu.

My love to the mountains is still very strong and continues to take me to impressive and indescribably beautiful regions of this planet.
