I spent my youth either cross-country skiing or in the mountains with my father, friends or the JO. After my apprenticeship as a mechanical draughtsman, I studied mechanical engineering at the University of Applied Sciences in Burgdorf, and at the same time I trained as a mountain guide. A postgraduate degree in business administration rounds off my professional training. As a mountain guide, paragliding tandem pilot and project manager at Jungfrau Railways, I have found the ideal combination for me.

As early as 1999, I got my first taste of high altitude as an expedition leader on Denali, Alaska. After 2 successful ascents, I pursued goals in the Swiss Alps for family reasons. Whether on steep walls or on long ridges, on rock and ice, on skis or with a paraglider, the mountains fascinate me again and again. In 2017 and 2018, I undertook my first trips to Nepal. This took me to Ama Dablam and Tilicho. This was followed by ascents of Kilimanjaro in Tanzania (2020) and Peak Lenin in Kyrgyzstan (2021).

I love discovering unknown landscapes, valleys and peaks.
