My home is the gorgeous Lenk in the Simmen Valley. The Lenk is not known to every one, but to me it is the place of my brith as well as the place of birth of my biggest passion: being a mountain guide.

In the shadow of the Wildstrubel thus began by career as a mountaineer; in the beginning it was not that wild when I went exploring the mountains with my parents and siblings. Later on as a teenager I began exploring the mountains more and more on my own and I become more daring and went on climbing and ski tours in the entire Bernese Oberland. On these adventurous forays through the homey mountains my passion and my fascination with the wonderful nature and the variety of mountaineering grew.

I could hardly await fulfilling my dream of being a mountain guide and thus I tackled the education to become a mountain guide already during my first apprenticeship to become a forest ranger.
With my goal of sharing my love for the mountains in sight, I became a proud owner of a Diploma as a Swiss Mountain Guide in 1990. Today, almost 30 years later, I happily look back on numerous tours in Switzerland as well as travels in countries like Tanzania, Argentina, Bolivia and Nepal. In order for dreams to become reality one has to dare to tackle them. In that sense I look forward to travelling with you.
