Chile, Argentina, Bolivia – to me, those are lands, in which dreams come true: To set foot on the Aconcagua, the roof of America, to follow the footsteps of the Incas to the highest archaeological site of find of the world, to ascend along the legendary Inca tombs to the peak of the Lullaillaco or to to admire the majestic flight of a Condor in Maipo Canyon to once feel Patagonian wind in your hair…
Those were some of the dreams which Hans had when he came to Chile in 2000. Today, he is happy and thankful for having been able to realise all of them and so much more. He still aspires new horizons and unclimbed peaks with the same fascination and motivation as ever. In the meantime, he has scaled nearly every famous mountain of this part of the world, which makes him one of the most sought after mountain guides in Chile.
Nevertheless, he has always remained modest, which is probably why he claims that “the most beautiful thing about our work is that we can help others make their dream come true.”
