Mischu Wirth was the one who infected me with the “climbing virus” while I was still in my teens. Soon I realised: That’s my sport – a sportive and creative game which combines balance, body and gravity at the perpendicular.
Several climbing-intense years, packed with many stays abroad, followed. After my apprenticeship, I decided to live in the US for seven years. Working as a sound engineer, I lived climbing- and mountain-free in Los Angeles during that period in my life.
Eventually, however, I realised that I had lost my path. What followed was a change of scene to the idyllic place Estes Park (CO) in the Rock Mountains, where I found a job as a climbing instructor at the Colorado Mountain School.
After some time though, I began to long for the Swiss mountains, good fondue and tasty chocolate, so I decided to return to my home country. After several years as route builder and facility caretaker at the Kletterzentrum Magnet, I finally decided, encouraged by Mischu, to complete the training as a mountain guide, which enabled my to lay the foundation of my current occupation.
I am living my dream and warmly welcome everyone to join me!
