Since my youth I have been on the road in the mountains. First with my father, later with the JO and with friends. I studied mechanical engineering at the engineering school in Rapperswil. For more than 20 years I was responsible for training at the Swiss Alpine Club SAC.

I love all facets of mountaineering, whether on high mountains e.g. Cho Oyu, Shisha Pangma, Pik Lenin, Arwa Spire, Shivling, climbing e.g. El Capitan, Half Dome, Fitz Roy, in Corsica or on skis. But most of the time I am in the Alps. I love the mountains, the different countries and cultures, but even more important to me are the people I get to accompany on my travels and in the mountains.
