Greenland Inland Ice

24. June – 13. July 2012 / 20 days

Fr. 6,950 / € 5,560 with 9 People

Leitung: Ruedi Kellerhals, Mountain guide

Greenland, measuring 2,3 mio. km2, is the world’s largest island. One of its many riches is the spectacularly wild arctic nature. About 81% of the island is covered by a massive ice sheet; if this ice sheet were to melt away completely, the world’s sea level would rise by more than 7m. Crossing a huge part of this ice sheet, we are part of this icy vastness, experiencing the silence of this beautiful place.

  • Expedition into Greenland’s inland ice.
  • Travelling with skis, tents and pulks.
  • Fantastic mountain formations and giant glaciers.
  • A journey full of extremes, in total remoteness and quietness.
  • This expedition/trip has not yet been organised by K&P. Reconnaissance through expedition or oder tour guide.
