Aconcagua or «Cerro Aconcagua» by full name, measures 6962m and is, thus, the highest peak in South America and on the entire American continent, as well as the highest mountain located outside of Asia. The name «Aconcagua» is assumedly of Indian origin; In Quechua, the language of the Inca, «Ackon Cahuak» means «Stony Sentinel» which indeed fits this stony giant of a mountain! The walk-in on this expedition is very impressive, since we travel through the picturesque Valle Vacas and the vast Horcones Valley.

  • Aconcagua, although of impressive size, is fairly easy to climb.
  • What to do after climbing Kilimanjaro? Summiting Aconcagua! This is the ideal way to refine your high-altitude climbing skills.
  • Cerro Vallecitos and Valparaiso: two special ingredients to create a truly «tasty» expedition!
  • Celebrating the New Year in Valparaiso: enjoy the biggest fireworks in South America.
  • On this expedition, you will additionally be accompanied by local mountain guides. They will also help preparing our food in the high camps and will support us in many ways.
  • Traversing Aconcagua, one of the «Seven Summits», will be a lot easier after our walk-in via Valle Vacas, as we are already acclimatised.
