Giant Mountains in the Atacama Desert
Ojos del Salado & Elqui Valley

31. October – 24. November 2013 / 25 days

This expedition will lead you into the Elqui Valley and the Tres Cruzes National Park in the North of Chile. Not only is the highest volcano on Earth, Ojos del Salado (6893m), located in Tres Cruzes, but here we can also find the clearest night sky. A visit to one of the local observatories will impressively proof this. To sum up, with this expedition, not only the mountains, but the journey itself is the reward: experience the local culture and enjoy the South American way of life!

  • The Andes – a climber’s paradise.
  • The ascent routes are generally good footpaths and thus easy to walk. Climbing is only necessary for the Ojos del Salado ascent.
  • Three giant mountains in the North of Chile – this programme was especially designed for Kobler & Partner.
  • Enjoy the wonders of nature of the Atacama region, e.g. the beautiful Laguna Verde .
  • Kobler & Partner expeditions have succeded well over a dozen times on Ojos del Salado.
