The continent Oceania includes Australia and the Pacific Islands. The highest mountain, the Carstensz Pyramid, is located in New Guinea. New Guinea, after Greenland is the second largest island in the world. The Dutch explorer Jan Carstensz was the first European to discover this snow-capped mountain in 1623 and the mountain was named after him.

  • The hike to/from the mountain is an integral part of this expedition. Regardsless wether the hike leads you via Illaga or Sugapa, it always poses a challange to all participants.
