The name «Aconcagua» is assumedly of Indian origin; In Quechua, the language of the Inca, «Ackon Cahuak» means «Stony Sentinel» which indeed fits this stony giant of a mountain! Doubtlessly, the original inhabitants of these areas had a special relationship to this summit. The huge massif of this 6962m high mountain is certainly awe-inspiring. We are going to traverse this towering giant, which is one of the famous «Seven Summits». The walk-in via the picturesque Valle Vacas helps to acclimatise fast and in an efficient way.

  • What to do after climbing Kilimanjaro? Summiting Aconcagua! This is the ideal way to refine your high-altitude climbing skills.
  • Since we walk in through Valle Vacas and walk back trough Valle Horcones, we circle Aconcagua in its totality. Hence the name «Aconcagua 360°».
  • NB: Please also check out our other Aconcagua expeditions. All of them differ regarding dates, included services and journey to the mountain.
  • Quality bonus: 1 local guide per 4 participants, food preparation in the high camps, porters for tents, cooking utensils (up to the 3 high camps and back down).
  • This expedition is guaranteed with a minimum of 4 participants (see «Important»).
