Nicely shaped Himalayan pyramid
Baruntse

03. October – 06. November 2012 / 35 days

Fr. 9,950 / € 7,960 with 10 People

Leitung: Peter Schatzl, Mountain guide

Baruntse (7168m) lies in the heart of the Khumbu and the Hunku region, between the Himalaya giants Everest, Lhotse, Makalu, Chamlang and Ama Dablam. Its stunning shape, its beautiful location, the interesting and varied ascent route and the wonderful trekking to/from the mountain are an experience not to be missed!

  • This 7000m-expedition is a true Nepal classic. We have already successfully organised this expedition several times.
  • Technical difficulties (e.g. on summit day) make this mountain a challenge (comparable with the ascent of e.g. the Biancograt in Switzerland)
  • Baruntse is located next to Himalaya giants like Makalu, Chamlang and Everest.
  • Even tough nowadays Barunts is a well-known destination, its location in the remote Hunku Valley keeps it from being overly frequented.
  • The walk-in through the Hunku Valley and the journey back over Amphu Laptsa through the Khumbu are the highlights of this expedition.
  • Quality bonus: 1 local high porter per 5 participants, up-to-date weather forecast
