Exotic Skiing Mountain in Western Nepal
Putha Hiunchuli

21. September – 20. October 2012 / 30 days

Fr. 9,800 / € 7,840 with 8 People

Leitung: Peter Schatzl, Mountain guide

Putha Hiunchuli is a mountain that is almost untouched by climbers and skiers. Discover pristine landscapes full of wonder and beauty and hidden treasures. For the ambitious ski mountaineer, this mountain is a great alternative to the famous Muztagh Ata. Join an adventurous expedition, which offers you alpine character but no technical difficulties. Putha Hiunchuli is well-suited for mountaineers, which want to climb their first seven-thousander as well as for experienced climbers looking for something new.

  • Famous mountain climber Ernst «Engg» Marti was one of the first to climb Putha Hiunchuli with skis. His verdict: «Ideal skiing mountain, flat-topped like the ones in the Safien Valley – only a bit higher!»
  • We organise ascents on foot or with skis.
  • This westernmost 7000m-peak of the Dhaulagiri range offers great views on the surrounding mountain landscape.
  • In 2009, a Kobler & Partner expedition team reached the summit of this stunning mountain.
  • The hike to the mountain leads through a wild-romantic valley, where we get in touch with the still authentic culture of its inhabitants.
