The mountain that no one knows!
Ninchin Kangsa

02. September – 01. October 2012 / 30 days

Fr. 11,900 / € 9,520 with 11 People

Leitung: Bruno Rankwiler, Mountain guide

In the 2nd century B.C., people of Mongolian origin, who had settled on the Tibetan high plateau, established a number of dominions. The kingdom in Tsangpo Valley with its capital Lhasa, is considered to be the cradle of Tibetan culture. Only a short distance to the south of Lhasa, on 4500m, there is Lake Yamdrok Tso. Tibetans regard this lake as a goddess in the shape of a scorpion. Above its surface, Ninchin Kangsa rises majestically into the sky.

  • We approach the unknown Ninchin Kangsa from Lhasa – a journey-in with lots of cultural highlights.
  • We get to the marvellously situated base camp transporting our equipment on the backs of Yaks or horses.
  • The view on the Yamdrok Tso and the vast plains of Tibet are absolutely stunning.
  • The partly moderate, partly steep ascent (fixed ropes are used) across the broad ridge is very appealing.
  • A unique and exclusive expedition for «7000er beginners» with sufficient sherpa support.
  • Extra bonus: 1 local high altitude porter per 4 participants, up-to-date wheather forecast.
